As New Zealand starts to move gradually out of it’s Covid-19 lockdown, GP’s are facing a different environment.

The number of remote or in-home consultations are increasing dramatically.

While the MedImage app is built to work inside a practice, it also works on-the-road, and is a useful companion for in-home consultations, as the photos get sent directly back to the Practice Management System, and are not kept on the phone.

In this situation it could be used by a doctor / remote nurse pairing, where a doctor is at the practice and a nurse is on-site taking the photo. The doctor could give a live diagnosis based off the photo sent through.

Our parent organisation, AtomJump, have also released a fully remote solution, which allows patients to take their own photos and share them on a single chat session. This lets a doctor and patient have a chat-based discussion, where a patient can upload a photo of themselves, or can go to a video link.

Doctor / Patient Messaging session

  • Chat on a unique and private one-time forum for a patient
  • Upload photos
  • Video conference
  • Save photos via your desktop browser to your desktop
  • Export messages to an Excel file
  • No app downloads or sign-ups needed
  • The service is free of charge

Please note: this is a Beta service. Please let us know what you think.

In the future we would also like to add the capability to export any photos /discussion directly into your MedImage Server, so that they appear in e.g. your MedTech system.

Note: If you’re an existing customer, but you’re not doing in-home consultations, we’re happy to extend a payment holiday to your practice.
