When using MedImage’s own cloud transfer servers with the Professional App, the ‘$3 / doctor / month’ option is intended as an estimate of traffic levels, and bandwidth levels. The figure includes our costs of maintaining and hosting the physical servers, as well as the bandwidth associated with transferring data.

To keep it fair and consistent across all of our customers:

The count of doctors in each practice includes

• Full-time doctors = 1
• Part-time doctors or nurses who take less photos = 0.5

In the situation where a practice decides to have a single shared device, rather than doctors having their own devices, to reflect the slightly reduced number of photos and less concurrent photos being taken:

• If there is a single shared device in a practice, we multiply the total number by 0.75, so 3/4 of the expected traffic levels.
• If there are two or more shared devices in a practice, then we multiply this number by 1.0, so about the same expected traffic levels (since at least one device should nearly always be free).

Note: We round down the overall number of doctors if there is a fraction left-over.

If a practice wishes to bring a new doctor on-board later (or recalculate this number), they can report to us a change in their usage levels, and we can adjust any regular invoices.
